Along Wilbarger Creek, a hundred and forty-four acres of restored wetland and native prairie — a hundred and nine of them protected forever. What grows from that care is abundance: whitetail and turkey, otter and fox, and wildflower honey pulled from ground that's left wild.

Every acre is tended as habitat — creek buffers, wetland cells, native pasture kept in the sun. Since 2012 it's been held under a permanent conservation easement. The wildlife is proof the work is working.
Built for the next generation
The shop stands today. Ahead: a ranch manager's house, an eight-stall horse barn framed in Douglas fir, horses for the girls to ride, a stocked pond, and an orchard of thirteen fruit trees. Every structure raised with the same intent as the land beneath it.
